Reiki is Powerful Healing

Reiki is an Eastern medicine healing technique used to support wellness in all areas of life, including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness. The Japanese word, Reiki, can be translated as “Universal Life Energy.” which refers to the energy that flows through all living things and interconnects our body, emotions, mind and spirit. Life experiences, and the way we respond to them, can sometimes shift our flow of Reiki out of balance, leading to symptoms of physical or emotional unwellness. Reiki healing techniques seek to rebalance the flow of this subtle energy, in order to promote healing, vitality and new possibilities

Reiki is Wellness for Today's World

Reiki restores balance in today’s stressful world. As the mind and body relax, they become primed for wellness and open to greater healing. This is why Reiki is especially supportive for individuals dealing with: chronic pain, chronic illness, anxiety, depression and other health challenges that have been unresponsive to traditional interventions. It's important to understand that Reiki should not be used as a replacement for medical intervention. However, Reiki techniques are gentle and safe to use alongside other medical or wellness regiments.

Reiki is a Comfortable, Relaxing, Reset

A session at Joyful Soul Studio, always starts with discussing your current wellness status and goals. This is followed with a short meditation to get your mind and body centered and prepared for Reiki. Then you will sit or lie down, fully clothed, on a massage table or chair, whichever is most comfortable for you. Bolsters, blankets or yoga props are used to ensure your body is properly positioned to release tension, and soft music promotes relaxation.  As Reiki begins, I will hover my hands a few inches above your body and slowly work from head to feet, to balance and refresh your energy system. Some people feel the Reiki energy as heat or gentle tingling. Most find the experience very relaxing, similar to a massage or deep meditation. After you are gently brought back to a more alert state, we’ll conclude the session with recommendations for continued wellness.
